Writing
Writing has always been a crucial way in which we communicate. And in today’s digital world, good writing is more important than ever. And that’s where I can help!
I have written in various formats, from internal business communication to social media posts. Check out some examples of my writing below!
Featured Project: Usability Study
This collaborative project was a usability study of a local business’ website. My team worked with the business owners directly to address their concerns with the website and give recommendations for future updates
Other Projects
Brochure
This brochure was designed to give some introductory information about the music minor at Elizabethtown College. I worked with professors to update the information in the brochure and come up with a new, modern design
Social Media Guidelines
A short report about different forms of social media and how they can be utilized professionally by a business. This was part of a larger project in public relations to help a business deliver an important message to its consumers
Bad News Letter
This letter was part of a class exercise in internal communication. This is a letter from an executive that had to let some employees go after a company merger. Nobody wants to hear bad news, so it’s important to write the message carefully
Interview
An interview with the winner of the annual concerto competition at Etown College. I sat down with Julie Nitowski to talk about her preparation for the competition and what it was like playing a concerto with an entire orchestra accompanying her
Features Story
A news story about the struggles Etown students are having trying to find parking spaces, as the college admits its largest freshman class since 2009. Are students parking in the wrong spots? Or is the college not properly accommodating its students?
Press Release
A short press release about a band concert that happened at Elizabethtown College. I used the inverted pyramid structure to get the most crucial points of the event out first, then finished the piece with quotes from the conductor and other interesting facts
